11月10-12日，国际著名分析化学家、DNA高通量测序仪发明者、美国Analytical Chemistry副主编、美国华盛顿大学教授Norman J. Dovichi应邀来我所进行学术访问，并做了题为“Detection of GFP in single cells”和“Metabolic cytometry for single cells”的学术报告。Dovichi教授在邹汉法研究员的陪同下参观了生物分离分析新材料和新技术课题组以及生物技术部其他相关课题组。在参观访问的过程中，Dovichi教授听取了邹汉法研究员关于生物技术部和国家色谱研究分析中心近年来在生物质谱和色谱领域取得的研究成果的介绍，并且广泛地探讨了新技术和新方法在蛋白组学研究中的应用和开展双边合作的可行性。期间，黄向阳副所长会见了来宾并就相关问题进行了探讨。(王璐)
     

      Norman J. Dovichi现为美国华盛顿大学化学系著名教授(endowed professor)，DNA高通量测序仪发明者，Analytical Chemistry副主编。他于1980年获得博士学位，1982年在University of Wyoming开始他的学术研究生涯，2000年12月来到美国华盛顿大学，2002年起担任我所荣誉教授。Dovichi教授在超灵敏化学分析和生物化学分析方面均有深入的研究，在该领域取得了很高的成就并获得过许多荣誉（Spectrochemical Analysis Award (2003) and the Chemical Instrumentation Award (1996) from the Analytical Division of the American Chemical Society; an honorary professorship from the Chinese Academy of Sciences - Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics (2002); the H.E. Merck Award for Analytical Chemistry (2000); the J. Gordin Kaplan Award for Excellence in Research - University of Alberta (1997); the Fisher (1998), Noranda (1992), and McBryde (1991) awards from the Canadian Society for Chemistry; and the Steacie Prize from the E.W.R. Steacie Memorial Fund (1991). He was the only chemist named as an Unsung Hero of the human genome project by Science in their 2001 February 16 issue.）
